Russian gas takes route in the Baltic Sea

The Nord Stream pipeline is in operation. This was announced today in a festive ceremony in Lubmin. Guests included the Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel, the President of the Russian Federation Dmitrij Medvedev, as well as numerous other high-ranking representatives from the political and economic sector. The natural gas pipeline through the Baltic Sea acts as an important infrastructure fort he European energy supply.
