State of Rock

Brooklyn based Girls of Porn are a popular rock act. But when their singer quits, GOP has a choice: face band death, or find a new front man. State of Rock follows the band on it’s quest, whereupon we meet a driven bunch of unsung dreamers: a roadie who wants to be in a band, the businessman who used to be, and two singers who get a shot (including a pre-American Idol Constantine Maroulis). Filmmaker Anthony Arkin takes us on a gut-level tour of this hard-rock world, where making it may not be the solution.
